All portions of an Expert’s participation in a challenge are referred to as a “submission”.

    Challenge #1: Dashboard Tool for Everyone: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 16, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on August 27, 2010. Community Poll: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 16, 2010 throught 11:59 p.m. on August 20, 2010. Community Voting: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 30, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on September 3, 2010. Expert winner will be announced on September 6, 2010.
Experts will be asked to poll their personal networks and the Crystal community to help determine the best general-use dashboarding tools that would appeal to a large audience. For example, they may ask the community if they would be interested in having a translator tool, calorie counter, personal budget planners, etc. Sponsor will do initial research to come up with some potential tools and data sets, but will also allow the Experts and the community to add in additional ideas through a write-in option on the poll on the site. Each Expert will select one tool based on the popular vote from the community as well as the tool that they feel will produce the best dashboard. In the event the Experts pick the same tool, a random drawing will be conducted from the Experts to determine which tool each Expert will get. Experts will have one week to build the dashboards. Experts will be supplied with data sets by Sponsor and also required to research and collect additional data in order to build the dashboards. The five tools selected by Sponsor and built by the Experts will be uploaded to the micro-site and the community will have one week to try them out. The community will then vote on the most useful dashboard. The Expert with the dashboard that receives the most votes by the end of the week will be the Challenge #1 Expert Winner and will receive 50 points.

After the Challenge #1 Expert Winner is announced, Sponsor will also have a challenge for the community. Community members will be able to submit their own dashboard submissions, between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on Septermber 6, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on November 5, 2010. The community submissions will be uploaded on the micro-site. There will be a voting week, between 12:00:01 a.m. ET on November 15, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on November 19, 2010 for all consumers to vote on their favorite dashboard. The community submitted dashboard that receives the most votes by the end of the week will be the Challenge #1 Community Winner and will receive a Zune 30gig MP3 Player and a USD$50.00 Sponsor-selected gift card.

    Challenge #2: Training Challenge: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 23, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on September 10, 2010. Community Voting: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on September 13, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on September 17, 2010. Expert winner will be announced on September 20, 2010.
The Sponsor will host a poll on the micro-site, that will ask three questions, for example: What are the most useful advanced features of SAP Crystal Reports; What are the essentials features every Crystal user should know to use SAP Crystal Reports?;What are some of your daily questions you'd like to ask the Experts.?. The Sponsor will work with internal SAP members, the Experts and the Community Council to help identify the potential responses for poll question #1 and #2. In order to get responses, the Experts will promote the poll to their personal networks and the Sponsor will also promote to the larger Crystal community through their own social media channels. Those that take the poll will be required to select their top five responses for poll questions #1 and #2 and will be asked to fill in a response for poll question #3. The poll will run for two weeks. After two weeks of polling the community, the Sponsor will select the top five most useful advanced features and the top five essential features that users need to know to get started with Crystal Reports. The Experts will be asked to film short, 60-second "how-to" videos describing how to do the eight features/functions. All details will be provided to Experts by Sponsor. Each Expert is required to complete two videos. Experts will have one week to film and send their videos to the Sponsor. The Experts can use existing sample SAP data-sets in order to demonstrate how to use their given feature/function in the video. Additionally, the Experts will be required to respond to the top five daily questions that come in through poll question #3 on the micro-site. The Sponsor will promote these responses through the Twitter feed and Facebook Page. It is recommended that the Experts post their responses with 60-second short videos to make for a more personal response. Once the videos and respones are completed, all content will be posted to the micro-site. The community will then be given one week to vote for the Expert with the clearest explanations. The Expert who receives the most votes will become the Challenge #2 Expert Winner and will receive 50 points.

The Experts will have seven weeks to ask the community for their best stories about people saving the day, because they used SAP Crystal solutions products. The Experts will be asked to publicize the challenge and direct people to the micro-site to submit their stories. The Sponsor will provide each Expert with a specific URL so the amount of traffic each Expert drives to the micro-site is trackable. The Expert who generates the most traffic to their specific URL will be the Challenge #3 Expert Winner and will receive 50 points.

After the five weeks allocated to collecting stories, the Sponsor will then post the 5 best individual stories on the micro-site in the form of a poll and the community will vote for their overall favorite story. The story that received the most votes will become the Hero Challenge Winner and this story will be turned into a creative musical poster. The remaining 4 stories will be used on the Facebook Page or Twitter feed, as case studies (in Sponsor’s sole discretion).

    Challenge #4: Charity Challenge: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on September 27, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on October 15, 2010. Community voting: 12:00:01 a.m. ET on October 18, 2010 through 11:59 p.m. ET on October 22, 2010. Expert winner will be announced on October 25, 2010.

At the end of the three week period the Experts’ dashboards will be uploaded to the micro-site and the Experts will ask their networks to vote. The Sponsor will also promote this to the larger Crystal community through their social media channels and will ask the charities to help promote through their channels. Experts will be required to go on a "Journey" exploring another SAP Crystal solutions product they are not as familiar with and blog about their learnings and experience. Each Expert will be given a different product so there is different content created throughout the Journey. The Experts will be required to document their Journey through blog and video content. Experts must post at least one blog and one video on their personal social media channel (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, blog, etc.) every week on a specific date, which will be provided by the Sponsor.
